Luke

Luke (surname not known) is a character from Resident Evil Outbreak. He is also known as "U.S.S. 1".

He was a member of Umbrella's elite Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S.) and was dispatched to the NEST facility in Raccoon City prior to the t-Virus outbreak which decimated the entire area. He along with a small team were to enter the facility and take all existing research and samples of the Golgotha virus (G-Virus) from Dr. William Birkin who ran the facility.

Things did not go quite to plan when they encountered Dr. Birkin who was extremely protective over his research and refused to hand it over. One of the U.S.S. members mistook an action of Dr. Birkin as an aggressive one and shot him in the chest. In the commotion, Dr. Birkin managed to inject himself with a sample of the virus and then contaminate the water supply of Raccoon City with the t-Virus which caused the outbreak to begin with.

Luke was then killed viciously along with other members of his team when Dr. Birkin returned to life and began to mutate, causing him to grow lots of muscle mass and claws, making short work of any unsuspecting victim.

It's interesting to note that he is one of the few U.S.S. members to be seen without their gas mask apparatus equipped - although usually he does wear it.

He can be unlocked as a playable character and shares characteristics with Kevin Ryman.
