Dr.
Peter Jenkins is a character from
Resident Evil Outbreak. He was a Raccoon University scientist and one of the first people to collectively come up with an antiviral medicine against the deadly
t-Virus. He first learned of the virus through an acquaintance and Umbrella virologist named
Dr. Greg Mueller.
He and Greg secretly developed the antiviral named Daylight. It was designed to halt the
t-Virus completely and render it inert. In order to keep its development and creation secret from prying eyes (particularly from Greg, and Umbrella as a whole) he spread out research and notes throughout the university. After spending lots of time together
Peter surmised that Greg had more to do with the
t-Virus than he was letting on and tried to distance himself from him.
Eventually, Greg grew tiresome of
Peter and killed him in cold blood by shooting him in his office. He was later found re-animated as a
Zombie which proves that unfortunately he had been infected with the
t-Virus. It's unfortunate that he was not able to cook up a batch of Daylight for himself, but the instructions he left throughout the university were later found and pieced together, he he indirectly saved many lives posthumously.
Interestingly,
Peter only appears as a
Zombie at the hardest difficulty setting. At any other level he is merely found as a corpse. He can also be unlocked as a playable character and he shares characteristics and skills with
Jim Chapman and to that end, he holds a subway ID card.
