Resident Evil 2

Resident Evil 2 was the sequel to the internationally best-selling game Resident Evil. It followed a similar set-up where the player can choose between two characters each with their own scenarios. This was expanded upon with the sequel where there would be more differences between each story but the two would intersect at various points throughout the story.

The game introduces many new characters such as Leon S. Kennedy as a rookie police officer on its first day of the job, Claire Redfield - the sister of Chris Redfield from the previous game as well as other now mainstay characters such as Ada Wong and Sherry Birkin.

The game takes place in Raccoon City, specifically the Raccoon City Police Department building and underground Umbrella facility NEST. Leon is heading into work for his first shift and Claire is in the area trying to find her missing brother - they both realise that the city has fallen and there are Zombies everywhere.

There is no turning back; they must explore the RPD and find the truth. Along the way they encounter various enemies such as Zombies, Lickers. Even a T-103 Tyrant and William Birkin who has transformed into a hulking monster.

The game reviewed extremely well and has gained a reputation for being the best game in the series for many years. It was released across various systems throughout the years and was re-created from the ground up by Capcom with an updated storyline, graphics, gameplay and more fleshed out characters. The remade game also reviewed extremely well and has taken Resident Evil 2's place as the best game in the series.​
