Elliot Edward was a Raccoon City Police Department officer who was killed during the
t-Virus outbreak which affected the entire city. Not to be confused with
Elliott, another RPD officer.
He was forced to remain in the RPD building by his insane police chief
Brian Irons who himself believed to be affected with the
t-Virus. He and a handful of other officers such as
Marvin Branagh managed to stay alive the longest out of all the officers up until
Leon S. Kennedy and
Claire Redfield entered the station.
In the original
Resident Evil 2 he is killed by Zombies on the rooftop, causing him to accidentally fire his weapon and cause a helicopter to crash onto the helipad which killed him and damaged the building. In this appearance he is slightly overweight with a moustache.
In
Resident Evil 2 (Remake) he is first heard calling out to
Leon or Claire but is killed when Zombies tear the lower half of his body apart - and later he awakens as a
Zombie himself - albeit a severely weakened once as he can only crawl on the ground. In this appearance he appears relatively fit and has a light complexion.
His name comes from the cancelled game Resident Evil 1.5, which was originally planned to be released as
Resident Evil 2. His model was re-used in the final version of
Resident Evil 2.
