Mark Wilkins is a character from
Resident Evil Outbreak. When he was younger, Mark spent some time in the US Army and was involved in the US - Vietnam War. Once the war was over and he had done his service for his country he decided he wanted a quieter life and eventually settled in Raccoon City. By 1998, he was working for a company called Scutum (which is the Latin word for 'Shield') as a security guard. He and many of his colleagues were contracted out by the city or by organisations to provide security.
Eventually, he decided to go to Jack's Bar in downtown Raccoon City with his colleague and friend,
Bob. However, a
t-Virus Outbreak had occurred and the entire city was in ruin - they, along with the other occupants of the bar hoped to remain inside in safety. Unfortunately, Zombies managed to break through and attacked the bartender and causing all of the occupants to flee in different directions in order to secure an escape.
A few of the patrons started to realise that the water supply had been infected and basically everyone may have the
t-Virus in their system. Mark was the first to notice that
Bob was looking very weak all of a sudden and they made their way to the roof of the bar to safety. However,
Bob was drifting in and out of consciousness and could feel the changes happening inside of him. Seeing what people become first-hand gave
Bob more than enough to realise that the cleanest way out of this would be to commit suicide.
Leaving the bar after his friend sacrificed his life, he eventually made it out of Raccoon City and lived a quiet life with his family.
