Lucy Mallet is a character from
Resident Evil Outbreak. She is the only child character in the game and is approximately 4-5 years of age at the time of the game.
She lived in Raccoon City with her mother
Regan Mallet and during the
t-Virus outbreak of 1998, she fled the city with her mother along the river banks towards the Arklay Mountains region. Unfortunately along the way she became separated from Regan and the two frantically searched different directions looking for each other; Lucy found herself stranded along the river Aimes and Regan ended up in an abandoned cabin house.
When Lucy was eventually found by survivors going the same route to escape the city, she met them with stubbornness, as she had always been taught not to talk to strangers by her mother. In order for her to trust them, the survivors needed to find her mother, take a heirloom pendant from her and return it to Lucy which would give her proof that these people were no longer strangers.
Finally accepting to follow the survivors, she was eventually reunited with her mother and it is assumed that they proceeded on safely out of the area.
Amusingly, there is an glitch in the game where her character model size is miscalculated and she becomes scaled up to the size of an adult. It's not certain why this is, but it could be as her character has incomplete stats filled out and it may default to something else as a kind of failsafe.
