Elena (surname not known) is a character from
Resident Evil Outbreak, and not to be confused with
Elena Lupu from
Resident Evil Village. She is also simply referred to as "Nurse2" in Outbreak.
She worked at Raccoon General Hospital (RGH) in Raccoon City as a general practice nurse and was present throughout the
t-Virus outbreak of September 1998, where the city water supply was contaminated with the
t-Virus which infected anything which consumed the water and eventually turned them into monstrous things such as zombies. She was working overtime at the hospital trying to treat patients with the then-unknown effects.
The majority of the hospital staff succumbed to the effects of the virus leaving only a handful of official personnel left. Eventually, all of the patients turned into zombies and at some stage Elena was attacked by them, receiving a deadly bite.
She then stumbled away in pain and eventually turned into a
Zombie herself. She is later killed when some survivors enter the hospital on a supply and rescue run and encounter her.
She can be unlocked as a playable character and shares characteristics with
Alyssa Ashcroft. Interestingly she starts in the Fine condition but has a rather fast infection rate.
