Very little was known about Ginger other then she was a resident of Raccoon City and perished during the t-Virus outbreak of 1998.
It is assumed that she was attacked and infected by zombies and eventually succumbed to the virus herself - this can be surmised due to the fact that her character model is used as a generic template for common female zombies in the game as well as in Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
Ginger is technically not part of Resident Evil: Outbreak itself but can be used with the help of cheating devices. When used in the game she shares characteristics with Cindy Lennox.
