Resident Evil 3 (Remake)

Resident Evil 3 is a complete remake of the 1999 title Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It features up-to-date graphics and gameplay, carrying over all of the technical advancements of Capcom's earlier remake of Resident Evil 2. Interestingly this is more or less how the original version of Resident Evil 3 was developed also; using many of the same assets and gameplay as the previous title.

The game stars Jill Valentine who is being pursued by Umbrella Corporations latest Bio-Organic Weapon, codenamed Nemesis. The creature was sent specifically to target and eliminate remaining S.T.A.R.S. members and her goal is to escape the city with unlikely help from Umbrellas military and ultimately has to take on the Nemesis.

The storyline of this game begins before Resident Evil 2 starts, and then there is a cross-over period, and later the game finishes after Resident Evil 2 has concluded. Reviewers of the game criticised it's short length, noting that it is considerably shorter than the game it's based on, as well as lacking many of the puzzles that the series is known for. The boss fights between Jill and Nemesis were also criticised for being fairly boiler-plate. However, in general the game reviewed very well and attained a Metacritic score of 84 (for the Xbox One version).

Before the game was released, a demo was available which allowed players to explore one of the early areas of the game as well as encounter Nemesis.
