"Careful, careful. C'mon... don't look at me like that, alright? I'm not an infected."

Murphy Seeker was a young but experienced sniper who worked for the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (UBCS). He joined Umbrella when they offered him a deal after they had been monitoring his skills. At this stage he was currently serving a life sentence in prison after he shot and killed scores of gang members after he found that the gang had murdered his brothers.

He took his new role and lease on life and was placed into Squad A of Alpha Platoon along with Carlos Oliveira. He and the rest of his new team were deployed to Raccoon City where a large t-Virus outbreak had occurred. However, the dangers were much worse than could have ever been anticipated and most members of the UBCS were decimated. However, Seekers resilience was commendable and he remained alive and defended himself against the horde of Zombies consistently.

At some point, Seeker gained critical injuries and could no longer continue on his feet. He managed to take refuge in an Umbrella Sales Office building. Not knowing for sure whether he was infected by the t-Virus, once Carlos managed to catch up with him he begged to be killed. He was going to die either way - there was no chance an injured person could make their way through the devastation and then be rescued, and a t-Virus infected person had to be killed before their transformation into a Zombie.

Hesitating enough times as he didn't want to kill his friend of the team, Carlos reluctantly delivered the finishing blow and put an end to Seekers life. His body was then taken by unknown persons and he was never referred to again.

As Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Resident Evil 3 (remake) had several open-ended segments, the fate of Murphy Seeker was also one of these. So it's also possible that his crazed Sergeant Nikolai Zinoviev killed him in the Sales Office, and it's also possible that in a different scene he found himself in a Garage instead of the office, and instead of being critically injured he simply required first aid which Jill Valentine was able to offer - however Zinoviev appeared once again and killed him before he could be saved.
