Brad Vickers was a member of S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team and served as helicopter pilot and also took on other specialist roles in the Raccoon City Police Department to make up for his lack of ability in combat situations such as hazardous waste material processing and recruitment. To that end, Brad was featured prominently in recruitment posters which could be found dotted around Raccoon City.
When the
Spencer Mansion incident occurred, Brad and the rest of Alpha Team entered the area by helicopter responding to reports that Bravo teams helicopter had crashed and as the team descended into the woodlands, Brad gradually became more skittish as he soon realised that his Bravo Team colleagues had been killed and partially eaten by Zombies and took off, leaving his team on the ground to fend for themselves.
However he later got back into radio contact with his team after many hours of issues communicating and eventually managed to re-encounter his teammates when they were battling the
T-002 Tyrant and Brad saved the day by air dropping a Rocket Launcher which was used to defeat the beast.
Soon after the Mansion incident, Raccoon City itself was subject to a
t-Virus outbreak which led the entire city into ruin and on top of this, Umbrella had dispatched their
Nemesis T-Type Bio-Organic Weapon to hunt down all remaining S.T.A.R.S. Members in the area, namely himself and
Jill Valentine.
While helping Jill attempt to escape the city, he was unfortunately caught unawares by Zombies and was bitten, leading to the beginning of the end for Brad. All he could do was try to protect Jill for as long as possible.
With Brad not having much combat experience, he had far less of a chance for survival than Jill and was eventually apprehended by the
Nemesis T-Type in front of the Raccoon City Police Department and was quickly killed by the powerful monster, and then left for his
t-Virus infection to fully take hold and turninto a
Zombie.
Brad then wandered a subway area that ran underneath the front entrance of the RPD building, and he later encountered
Marvin Branagh who he delivered an infectious bite to and caused his eventual downfall.
