Kevin Ryman is a character from
Resident Evil Outbreak. He was a fully trained Raccoon City Police Department officer. Although he was a good officer and a highly skilled marksman, he had tried and failed multiple times to join S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service), although he would continue to aim high and strive to join the team even after many knockbacks. He was aware of
Leon S. Kennedy who was about to start his first shift at the PD, but they never got to meet.
He was drinking his cares away at Jack's Bar in downtown Raccoon City at the time of the Raccoon City
t-Virus outbreak. He along with other patrons and staff were ambushed by Zombies. He and a few others fled onto the rooftops and made their way to a rendezvous point for an escape. Unfortunately he lost friends along the way including his colleague
Bob who was bitten by a
Zombie - they both knew the only option was to nip things in the bud before he turned into one himself.
Kevin reunited with the RPD Deputy Chief
Raymond Douglas who were both surprised that each other were alive, but quickly skipped the pleasantries and sprung back into action by assembling a barricade to prevent Zombies and other creatures from advancing further.
After escaping the city, he was last seen talking with somebody at a payphone and then it is assumed that he started a new life in Miami, Florida - many moons away from Raccoon City.
In terms of gameplay, Kevin has the fastest movement speed and also has a large pool of health; on the downside his infection rate is relatively high. He also starts with the Potshot ability which gives him increased handgun accuracy (essentially a 2x damage multiplier) but with a much slower firing rate.
