Austin Taylor

Austin Taylor is a character from Resident Evil Outbreak. He worked for the Raccoon Zoo in Raccoon City and his main role was to handle the exotic animals and make sure that they lived happily and in care. He also took on other tasks which other staff members either refused to do or felt uncomfortable doing, such as shooting out of control animals and entering dangerous areas.

He was in the zoo when the t-Virus outbreak occurred in the city. As the virus affected the water supply, virtually all of the animals became infected quite quickly and most mutated into zombified monsters, including elephants and lions which in their mutated states were many times more violent than before. These creatures mingled with the once human zombies made the zoo one of the most saturated areas in the city.

Unfortunately he found himself trapped on the observation deck with only his hunting rifle and a small amount of ammunition.

Interestingly, he only appears in the game on the hardest difficulties and when unlocked as a playable character his specifics are based on Mark Wilkins.
