Regan Mallet

Regan Mallet is a character from Resident Evil Outbreak. She was a resident of Raccoon City and the mother of Lucy Mallet who at the time of the game was roughly 4-5 years of age.

During the t-Virus outbreak of Raccoon City she took her daughter out of the city and attempted to escape through the Arklay Mountains, following the riverbanks. A monster attack led to the two becoming separated - Regan became injured as a result of this and was forced to recuperate in a log cabin.

Eventually, some survivors reached the same cabin and they promised to go back and find Lucy so they could be reunited. When they eventually found Lucy, they at first found her to be noncommittal as she was taught to never speak to strangers. However, Regan knew this and gave the survivors a pendant to show her, which was enough proof for her and the family was then reunited.

It is thought that after a short time Regan manages to recover enough to proceed through the area and exit through the mountains.

Interestingly, she is playable in the game and has two versions - Type A and Type B. Type A shares characteristics with Alyssa Ashcroft and starts in the Fine status condition. Type B (presumably her 'injured' state) is based on Yoko Suzuki and starts in the Danger state.
