Neo-Umbrella J’avo

J'avo (a Serbian word meaning "Devil") is the name given to humans which have been directly injected with a strain of the C-Virus intravenously. These in particular are identical to normal J'avo but they are comprised of Neo-Umbrella's private security forces which have been given the same treatment. It is seen a a form of superhuman enhancement to those that have been willing to take the virus. They differ from other infected such as C-Virus Zombies as their intelligence is mostly maintained after infection. At first, the C-Virus was simply tested on people by Neo Umbrella just to see what would happen - and to their surprise, the outcome was fairly positive. This gave them enough evidence to use them on their own forces.

Typically, J'avo resemble normal humans but with extra eyes, sharper teeth and increased strength and aggression. The eyes also protrude from the eye sockets, giving them a rather unsettling appearance. However, the Neo-Umbrella J'avo are all equipped with high-tech tactical gear which includes a full face covering and gas mask with coloured eye-lenses (similar to HUNK - it's worth noting that despite the fact that these creatures have more than two eyes and bilateral symmetry is not observed, there are still only two symmetrical eye lenses in the masks). As they are contracted employees of Neo-Umbrella itself, they have access to as much firepower as they require. They also mutate in a similar fashion as a regular J'avo, which includes the ability to mutate multiple times. However, the most interesting thing about them is that they assume some sort of control over their mutations - they can trigger specific mutations without being attacked.

They are also able to go into a Chrysalid state like all J'avo, which will lead them to metamorphose into a much more dangerous creature. It's worth pointing out that if a Neo-Umbrella J'avo is wearing a gas mask with green eye lenses, they have a much higher likelihood of entering a Chrysalis.

The outfits that they wear are extremely high tech and resemble military-grade sneaking suits designed for extremely high mobility and balance. They also carry specialised equipment such as backpacks and wrist-mounted blades. Their gas masks are also interesting as there are slightly several different designs depending on the unit. It's also possible to encounter them without a face covering, where they have an even more distorted face than a normal J'avo.
