Dogs are commonly infected by viruses such as the t-Virus or in this case the C-Virus as they tend to consume infected flesh or at the very least use their tongues or noses to identify what is at their feet. These mutated creatures are very similar to the regular Zombie Dog in which they have lost their domestication and now revert to hunting and prowling in packs. The dogs in these packs all appear to be of equal size so it's entirely possible that the mutation alters their bodies to better suit the rest of the pack.
They retain many of their basic skills such as sniffing, licking and barking. However they use them purely to find and attack prey. Their speed and ferocity are unmatched - they have been known to launch themselves at targets and clamp their jaws down at their necks in order to take them down. If successful, they will tear open the jugular and then feed upon the prey.
Due to the typical mutations of the C-Virus, their flesh becomes rotten and they are able to continue at full strength despite the loss of some muscle tissues; additionally their eyes become milky white, although they do seem to retain exceptional. In low light conditions they are still able to see clearly and their eyes emit a soft glow.
If you break down the differences between this creature, the t-Virus Zombie Dog and the Cerberus, they are essentially the same result but have mutated from a different infection.
