Glava-Smech (which means Head-Laughter in Serbian) is the name given to a J'avo (a person who has been infected with the C-Virus through the bloodstream) which has mutated due to extreme damage to the head. The mutation begins within the chest, where a primitive set of clawed arms protrude from the cavity. From there, the human head is replaced by an enormous maw which resemble a set of pincers or clamshell. The flesh at the mutated area appears to be a bright orange hue that glows softly. The pincers can open extremely wide like a venus flytrap.

The arms are used to hold their prey to allow a strong purchase from their pincer-like mouths. The jaws have the strength to snap through muscle and bone with ease, so care must be taken to keep clear from the Glava-Smech if one were to be encountered.

Sitting the top of their necks where the human head used to be is an orange tumour-like growth known as the core. This is their weak point - if this core becomes damaged, the creature will be critically injured.
