The Bus Driver was an unidentified survivor of the initial Tall Oaks bioterrorism attack; he decided to try and rescue as many remaining survivors as possible using the school bus he drove as a safe space. His main goal was to rescue his friends but if he could save any others along the way he would try and do so.
He managed to pick up other survivors such as Nancy and a novice police officer but along the way the bus sustained various attacks from Zombies and creatures such as the Whopper which resulted in casualties; including that of his friend. Unfortunately on his way to the Tall Oaks church he hit a wandering Zombie which impaired his control of the bus.
Struggling to maintain control, he swerved from side to side; more and ore creatures began to board the bus which sent his tension into overdrive. Looking ahead he realised there was a truck in his path and he had no time to avoid it - he crashed which resulted in the bus careening down a cliff face and rolling over onto the cemetery grounds below. His fellow passengers were consumed by Zombies but he managed to survive; but not for long.
As the bus was critically damaged, the engine began to smoulder and then set on fire; this quickly evolved into a huge fireball which engulfed the Bus Driver as well as the Zombies. He was killed instantly in the explosion; the only solace was that he was one of the few that lost his life with his humanity in tact and that he was not a casualty of the Zombies, but rather an unfortunate accident.
