Ruka-Bedem (which means Arm-Wall or Arm-Barrier in Serbian) is a mutation of a creature called a J'avo (who are subjects who were willingly administered the C-Virus directly into their bloodstream). This mutation occurs when intense trauma or damage has been caused to one or both of their arms.
The mutation is relatively straightforward unlike others, where this mutation does not alter the original physicality too vastly. In this case an arm is reconfigured as an extremely resistant shield (most likely made from bone, keratin or perhaps N-acetylglucosamine (what Chitin is made from) which is very similar to keratin. The latter is less likely in a normal human as chitin effectively dissolves in the human system. However the J'avo are far from a normal human - the structure has never been scientifically analysed unfortunately.
As the shield structure is effectively part of the arm, it cannot be dropped. This severely effects mobility and agility of the Ruka-Bedem which makes them susceptible to counter-attacks. Their main means of offense is to shunt their shield into their prey to knock them down. Otherwise, their mean characteristic is to defend.
However, if they were to mutate into other forms which is possible with the J'avo, they become far more intimidating as they will have another advantageous mutation along with a higher defence than others, so it is recommended to kill them as quickly as possible whilst avoiding their shield attacks.
