Uriaș Drac (two words when combined could be interpreted to mean Giant Dragon, Giant Devil or Giant Demon in Romanian) was a creature developed by
Mother Miranda after she began experimenting on humans with the
Cadou parasite. Usually, the parasite would turn a human into a
Lycan but on this occasion, the mutation continued past the expected levels and the host grew substantially. Unlike most mutations, the creature had a large body which was mostly in proportion - the only thing that appeared to be disfigured was its back, which had a number of growths which spanned across it, giving it a more hunched posture.
Interestingly, unlike the regular Uriaș or the
Uriaș Străjer (who were known to be brothers), the Uriaș Drac had no wolf-like characteristics whatsoever. Their human appearance was more prominent. Also, unlike the other variants, they were virtually hairless. It's also worth mentioning that there appears to be no blood ties between the Uriaș Drac and the other two - but there must be some kind of biological similarity for the mutations to occur in such a similar fashion.
Possibly due to their size and the fact that their mutation doesn't take on any werewolf characteristics, their skin is quite brittle, leaving them with many deep gouges on their body which must be a limitation of the relatively unaltered physiology of the skin. On close inspection, their skin seems to be necrotic in some areas, especially on the left side of their heads, their backs and their abdominal area. In fact, their backs are particularly gruesome, with sections of spine protruding along with tumours and fat, surrounded by stretched skin which seems like it could snap at any moment.
Another intriguing thing about them are the rusty metal plates which have been grafted onto the right side of their heads. It appears to be attached with small brackets and a rivets and covers one side of their face along with half of their cranium. It's not entirely clear what their function was, perhaps the flesh underneath was beyond saving.
They wield a large war axe which appears to be very elegantly designed and clean - a stark contrast to what their 'brothers' use.
Interestingly, they are encountered in out of the way places which may mean that they were once discarded or left the guard unimportant areas - this could perhaps be from the Lycans not seeing them as kin. Also, they appear to be able to generate heat and light from their mouths - although they aren't shown using this in any kind of way, although this may be the reason for their name, "Drac" meaning Dragon, Devil or Demon in Romanian.
In the game, they are essentially an altered version of the regular Uriaș, designed as an optional challenge for players who dare to explore. Two are encountered and both drop a Giant Crystal Axe when killed.
