Samcă (a word which refers to a legend in Romanian folklore where a devilish, female creature stalks and poisons its victims) is a further mutation of the Moroaicǎ creature, which were created by Alcina Dimitrescu and her three 'daughters' where they captured unsuspecting women (referred to as 'Maidens') and tortured them to death with gruesome devices, draining them of blood for use in their Sanguinis Virginis wine and then leaving them to rot in the Mold-infested dungeons of Castle Dimitrescu.

After death, they were reanimated as Moroaicǎ and were left to wander the grounds, existing as husks of their former selves in a state not too dissimilar from Zombies. On some rare occasions, they mutated even further to become the Samcă. In this form they resembled a large, aggressive Bat - and from a distance, one would likely mistake them for such a creature. However, moving closer to one reveals that they were once human, as they wear tattered remains of clothing and appear to have a bracelet on one of their ankles, showing that they used to be a prisoner of the castle.

Up close, the Samcăs arms have completely mutated to become enormous, fleshy and vascular wings. Exceedingly powerful, the wings allowed them to stay aloft for extended periods of time. Their arms and hands had mutated to a state where any past resemblance to a regular arm or hand had gone - the structures have been stretched out, the skin and muscle have flattened out and formed a competent wing structure. Their faces, while obscured by hoods can be discerned - looking similar to the Moroaicǎ although appearing much older, wrinkled and deformed. It's not clear if they still have vision as their eye sockets have become very small and dark. Owing to their Bat-like physiology it might be that the rely on sound over sight.

Most interestingly, their tongues have developed into a long and thick muscle, similar to the Licker tongue but even larger. They can use this to strike their prey or even to grab objects.

In combat, they mainly stick to the skies and will attack in packs and are extremely evasive in the air, having the ability to cross short distances in any direction, in short bursts. When there is no prey in sight, they prefer to perch upon high up ledges, such as the spires of Castle Dimitrescu, but they have been sighted on the ground in other areas such as the tall grassy fields not too far from the castle. When on the ground, they will use their wings to batter their prey as well as their tongue.

Ethan Winters first encounters them on the rooftops of Castle Dimitrescu and conveniently finds a sniper rifle just before meeting with his first one. As they tend to be quite far to begin with, this is the ideal weapon to take them on with. However in other encounters, any other weapon would be advised.

In death, they will calcify and occasionally leave behind a Crystal Wing, which can be taken and sold to The Duke.
