This is the form that
Alcina Dimitrescu is forced to take after being poisoned by
Ethan Winters. At a glance, her original form appears to be riding a large flying beast - however on closer inspection she and the beast are one, and her humanoid form is but an attached component of the full creature.
While she retains her mental capacity, she is left permanently enraged and appears to have trouble manoeuvring her now large and powerful size.
Her transformation was triggered after Ethan stabbed her in the side with the Dagger of Death's Flowers - an ancient ceremonial blade which was said to contain hundreds of different kinds of poisons, distilled into the metal. The dagger was intended to be used in the past by an assassin but was captured by Dimitrescu, and his blade was hidden in her castle to prevent it from getting into the wrong hands. However, since Ethan found it - her eventual doom was assured.
After being stabbed, she shrieks in pain and the poison coursing through her veins can be seen. Then, large wings sprout from her back and she is thrown backwards into darkness. Then, she emerges fully transformed.
It is said that Dimitrescu can actually transform as she pleases, but she prefers not to due to how painful it can be (plus one would imagine it takes a lot of energy and focus). It was perhaps more painful than ever due to then poison which simply aggravated her further.
She flew through the air around the castle, attempting to grab Ethan and at one point succeeding - and then proceeding to drop him from a height. Surviving the impact, Ethan eventually wears her down with gunfire. Becoming tired, she crashes into part of the castle, destroying part of the structure.
When Ethan damages her enough, her body succumbs to it and the
Cadou dies - this begins a crystallisation process which results in a rapid death of the host. However, using the last of her strength she manages to pull Ethan down as she falls through a damaged portion of the castle, hoping to crush him to death.
Unfortunately for her, he survives and he witnesses her body calcify completely, leaving only some crystallised remains which Ethan can collect and sell to
The Duke if he so pleases.
Interestingly, the 'flying monster' part of her mutated body does not calcify and simply remains in situ, presumably rotting away.
