Cheryl Mason

Cheryl Mason was Harry and Jodie Mason's adoptive daughter. She was found as a new-born Baby seemingly abandoned on the side of the road. For a while they lived together as a family until one day Jodie became extremely unwell with an unspecified long-term illness (presumably cancer) which she had been battling for most of her life - this unfortunately eventually led to her passing, which ended in Harry having to raise Cheryl on his own which took a huge emotional toll on him.

As Cheryl got older, she began to recognise her fathers mourning and something in her promoted her to try to get Harry to take a break in the nearby town of Silent Hill, Maine. The area was home a well-regarded, sleepy resort town - which seemed like the perfect getaway. However on the way, Harry crashed his car after he saw a girl in the road (Alessa Gillespie) and swerved to avoid her which knocked him out cold; when he came around, Cheryl was missing. When Harry wakes up from a nightmare, he is thrust into the Fog World which is one of the altered dimensions that Alessa has some control over.

Cheryl had been taken by Alessa, the latter of which had taken over Silent Hill. The chain of events which caused this to happen includes a young Alessa being burned alive by her mother Dahlia Gillespie and The Order, only for Alessa to return with a vengeance which resulted in a battle with a demi-god which was spawned from her. A magical pyramid-shaped item named a Flauros was used (which was some kind of magical prison that is designed to contain demonic power) on Alessa which inexplicably splits her being into two separate beings - and a Baby is created from Alessa's body - that Baby is then left on a road near Silent Hill for an unsuspecting victim to find. The child would always feel a connection to Silent Hill and would eventually find their way back in order to join with Alessa.

Harry explores the towns strange and mysterious places and monsters all the while Cheryl is taken by Alessa and her deranged mother Dahlia Gillespie and at some point in time, Alessa and Cheryl are both merged into the same body which is intended to increase her demonic power, return her souls into one body and eventually try once again to spawn a demi-god. Due to Harry's interruptions however, the plan failed and an incomplete monster was instead spawned, named Incubus.

Incubus came from the merged Alessa and Cheryl, in a form called the Incubator. However, the monster was soon defeated by Harry and upon its demise, it handed over the last thing it would ever create - a new, merged version of Alessa and Cheryl as a new-born Baby.

Harry took the child and later named it Heather Mason. Cheryl and Alessa were gone, but their combined spirits live on within Heather. So in essence, Cheryl still exists along with Alessa - just as part of Heather.

In the original game, Cheryl wears a light pink woollen sweater with a blue and white dress over the top which has a chequered pattern. Near the waistline there are two cat-like characters sewn into the front which face away from one another - one is yellow and the other is white. She wears long white socks and throughout the game she appears to not be wearing any shoes (it's possible she removed them in order to muffle her footstep sounds from monsters). Finally. she has dark brown (almost black) hair up to her neck line.
