Sheva Alomar is a member of the B.S.A.A. (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) and works in their West African division. She is often sent on routine missions to investigate or even intercept potential bioterrorist threats in the region. Sheva herself had experience dealing with bioterrorism from a young age as her family lived in a village run by Umbrella Corporation; most of the people living there worked in the ill-fated Umbrella No. 57 Plant, which was one of many storage areas for completed B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapons). After multiple incidents, Umbrella eventually decided to wind down the village with an experiment - causing a t-Virus outbreak.

The outbreak decimated the area and caused most to turn into Zombies. Umbrella responded to this by sending in their elite Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S.) into the area to kill everyone. Sheva along with a small number of other survivors managed to hide from the slaughter and eventually escaped. As time went on, the bond between her and the other survivors strengthened and they all began to figure out what exactly had transpired and how Umbrella was the source of it all.

Sheva then worked towards more of an education, learning how to use firearms and learning the English language. She eventually learned of the B.S.A.A. and applied for a position there. Her history with Umbrella and knowledge of populated areas was attractive to them and after accepting a position, her first role was to accompany Josh Stone in the Special Operations Unit.

She was later reassigned to accompany B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield after a tip-off was received that TRICELL employee and black market bioweapons dealer Ricardo Irving was in the Kijuju Autonomous Zone conducting illegal B.O.W. (Bio-Organic Weapon) sales. Her role was to tag-along with Chris and intercept the deal and try to stop it from happening, as well as attempt to discover anything else of interest.

Due to the lack of intel on the matter, Chris and Sheva were initially overwhelmed with the populace of Kijuju - it soon became clear that almost all of the residents had been given a Plaga parasite which altered their physiology and turned them into dangerous and violent people. They had also learned of the Uroboros Project, a new type of virus created by none other than Albert Wesker which he was intending to use to take over the entire world, and all of it was happening right under their noses.

Despite everything, the duo stayed hot on Irving's tail, even the super-powerful Uroboros Test or the many different kinds of Majini and other Plaga-based B.O.W.s didn't stop them. Eventually they caught up with him and he had nowhere to go; so he promptly injected himself with a Dominant Species Plaga which turned him into a massive sea-creature type monster. However, since the two kept their cool and were very experienced, they took him down despite his amazing display of power.

Sheva then continued to accompany Chris after he decided to pause the mission and concentrate on finding his old S.T.A.R.S. colleague Jill Valentine. He had thought she was dead for a very long time but he had realised that she was right here in Kijuju, albeit under some kind of trance and in a masked disguise. When they eventually found her alongside TRICELL CEO Excella Gionne and Albert Wesker, they worked together to wear her down and remove a contraption from her chest that was feeding her some kind of mind-altering concoction which made her do anything that Wesker wanted.

When Valentine came to, she revealed to them both that Wesker was indeed attempting world domination and that they all had to work together to stop it. While Jill went her separate ways to regroup with others, Chris and Sheva continued on together to confront Wesker. After chasing him and Excella for some time, Wesker decided that his companion had outlived her usefulness and that her final act should be to kill the B.S.A.A. team. To do this, he injected her with the unstable Uroboros virus - and this caused her to drop onto a pile of dead Majini corpses. Then, Uroboros tentacles burst from her mouth and consumed her body, and then all of the dead bodies around her. This amalgamated into one huge monstrous bio-organism and while the battle was difficult, it was eventually beaten by careful use of a satellite laser system.
