Peter Walken (Pete) was a television presenter who previously worked as a Substitute News Anchor for a local station - although he preferred people to know that he was simply a News Anchor. His last starring role was in a internet series called Sewer Gators, where he led a small crew through areas with strong paranormal vibes, and most recently he was participating in a rehearsal run through the Dulvey Haunted House in Louisiana.
Pete, the shows producer Andre Strickland and cameraman Clancy Jarvis all progressed through the premises and found some horrifying things such as rotten human remains in a disgusting kitchen. Initially Pete was looking for appropriate places to film, ordering Clancy to take certain shots and get other moments on film. He and Clancy became separated from Andre at one point and he decided to abandon filming and concentrate on looking for Andre, although Clancy continued to film regardless.
He managed to find a secret lever under a fireplace which led to an underground passage.
