Soldat Jet (Meaning
Soldier Jet, from German) was an armoured version of the
Soldat Zwei which was outfitted with heavy armour over its head and top half of its body, as well as a purpose-built gas-powered jet pack system which allowed it to fly in a stable manner.
The Soldat Jet was human-based monster that has been combined with the
Cadou parasite and machinery. The
Cadou was used as a sort of
Battery dressed up as a glowing red / orange reactor core which replaced the human heart and essentially powered the creature. The Soldat Jet were designed to act as reinforcements, and their airborne capability allowed them to be used in more difficult to reach or hazardous areas.
Karl Heisenberg originally experimented on unwilling human subjects, looking for a way to manufacture an army in his factory. The Jet designation simply signifies that they have been outfitted with a Jet pack.
Karl built the Soldat Jet in the same way as the
Soldat Zwei, replacing both arms with two, reinforced motorised drills. The
Cadou was supplemented with more machinery and electronics to help facilitate the movement of the host. As with other forms of Soldat, the brain is essentially inactive and required machinery and electronics to help the
Cadou control the host. This requires an apparatus fitted to the head, but in the case of the Soldat Jet, its entire head and upper part of its body is covered by a thick armour so it is difficult to determine how it works - however, there are sensors, wires and tubes connected from the head which reach throughout the body which demonstrate just how advanced this creature is compared to earlier models.
Interestingly, the reactor core is on the front of the body, seemingly a design flaw taken from the
Soldat Eins, the first version of Soldat. A direct hit to the core will temporarily stun the creature. It is thought that the reactor cores are exposed due to a problem with heat dissipation - the red / orange glow is likely a by-product of this.
The Soldat Jet uses a powerful laser guiding system to help with its attacks. While it does not have any artillery, it uses the laser to line up a dash attack. However, the laser is visible to the human eye which works as a disadvantage, as essentially its attack can be seen before it performs it.
When defeated, the Jet will explode due to the reactor overloading.
