Soldat Eins is a form of Soldat (meaning Soldier One, from German), a human-based monster that has been combined with the Cadou parasite and machinery. The Cadou was used as a sort of Battery dressed up as a glowing red / orange reactor core which replaced the human heart and essentially powered the creature. The Soldat Eins were designed to be the standard, mass-produced type. Karl Heisenberg originally experimented on unwilling human subjects, looking for a way to manufacture an army in his factory. The Eins designation refers to both the fact that it is the first version of Soldat, and the fact that it has one attacking weapon.

Karl built the Soldat Eins with its left arm replaced with an apparatus that contained a large, reinforced motorised drill. The Cadou was supplemented with more machinery and electronics to help facilitate the movement of the host. The human brain was largely useless by this point, therefore a headpiece was designed which allowed electrical connections to continue, via the machinery. The creature had what looks like a feeding tube port on its neck which is left open on this model. In future revisions, this port is either connected to something or has been replaced altogether.

If the headpiece is damaged, they become far more aggressive and unpredictable as their controls have been disturbed.

As the Cadou is what drives the Soldat Eins, it also prefers to protect itself in combat. As such, it will cover up the reactor core with its drill-arm. A direct hit to the core will temporarily stun the creature. It is thought that the reactor cores are exposed due to a problem with heat dissipation - the red / orange glow is likely a by-product of this.

While not in combat, all Soldat will often be inactive, connected to cables or resting in a cradle, presumably receiving charge and being maintained for when they are called to action. Once activated, they will emerge and begin attacking instantly.

When defeated, the Eins will explode due to the reactor overloading.
