Soldat Zwei is a form of Soldat (meaning Soldier Two, from German), a human-based monster that has been combined with the Cadou parasite and machinery. The Cadou was used as a sort of Battery dressed up as a glowing red / orange reactor core which replaced the human heart and essentially powered the creature. The Soldat Zwei were designed to be an upgraded version of the Soldat Eins, but still mass-produced like its brothers. Karl Heisenberg originally experimented on unwilling human subjects, looking for a way to manufacture an army in his factory. The Zwei designation refers to both the fact that it is the second version of Soldat, and the fact that it has both arms replaced with weapons.

Karl built the Soldat Zwei with both arms replaced with apparatus that contained a pair of large, reinforced motorised drills. As he had seen success with the Eins he saw benefit of doubling its attacking and defensive capabilities, The Cadou was supplemented with more machinery and electronics to help facilitate the movement of the host. As with the other Soldats, the human brain was useless without modification, thus the headpiece which was used with the Eins was redesigned as a mask which now allowed the Soldat Zwei to see. The port in its neck was now connected to the face mask, which was fitted presumably to aid in recycling air.

If the face mask is damaged, they become far more aggressive and unpredictable as their controls have been disturbed.

As the Cadou is what drives the Soldat Zwei, it also prefers to protect itself in combat. With the Eins, the creature instinctively covered up its reactor core with its drill-arm, which was seen as a disadvantage. Karl realised that moving the exposed reactor core to the rear of the creature would make it far more offensive, as it would be less likely to be behind one in combat. A direct hit to the core will temporarily stun the creature, but you would have to get behind it to access it. It is thought that the reactor cores are exposed due to a problem with heat dissipation - the red / orange glow is likely a by-product of this.

While not in combat, all Soldat will often be inactive, connected to cables or resting in a cradle, presumably receiving charge and being maintained for when they are called to action. Once activated, they will emerge and begin attacking instantly.

When defeated, the Zwei will explode due to the reactor overloading.
