Green Zombie

Not to be confused with similar creatures such as Ivy or Plant 43 (Ivy) from Resident Evil 2.

The Green Zombie was a version of the t-Virus Zombie but with an additional parasitic infection from a similarly infected plant, most likely the Huge Plant which was in the same area. They were only found in an abandoned hospital up in the Arklay Mountains (once run by Albert Lester), on the outskirts of Raccoon City.

They would be first implanted with seedlings which would gradually consume biological material from its host and then grow to extend out of the back and through to the top of the head. The parasitic plant would then develop flowers and fungus which had a defensive mechanism; they had the ability to spew a poison cloud which caused significant damage.

In all other aspects though they were essentially a regular Zombie. Due to other similar creatures existing, Umbrella continued to look at and experiment with combining t-Virus infected plants with t-Virus infected humans.
