The Crocodile, not to be confused with the
Giant Alligator were semi-aquatic reptiles that made their home in the shallow marshlands of Kijuju, West Africa. They are relatively docile unless somebody or something enters their territory; preferring to stay slightly under the waterline, biding their time until their next meal.
These particular Crocodiles have been fed human sacrifices by the
Majini in the past, and have even eaten
Majini who have accidentally fallen into the water; this makes it extremely likely that they have also consumed a Type 2
Plaga parasite. It's unclear exactly what changes the
Plaga would have made as their behaviour, strength and reaction speed appears to be unchanged. They are quite massive however, but then again crocodiles can potentially reach those sizes naturally.
When encountered by B.S.A.A. agents
Chris Redfield and
Sheva Alomar, they proved to be fairly resistant to firearms and knives. They also had the potential to kill in a single bite.
Interestingly, they seemed to be aloof towards Sheva or Chris in situations where they were not the party leader (this is most likely not an oversight, one would assume it was planned this way to prevent the A.I. character being instantly killed and causing a game over).
