The Tyrant C was a further development to the
T-103 Tyrant which was one of Umbrella's first successful mass-produced B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapons) designed to be covertly inserted into combat situations and pass off as a regular human. As successful as the
T-103 was, Umbrella still constantly saw the flaws in it and attempted to iterate on it further.
While visually it is similar to the
T-103 and wears a similar trench coat which is actually a device known as a
Power Limiter - some of the components can be seen at the back of the coat such as a junction box with some cables going inside the body of the tyrant, as well as some additional cables that reach the back of its neck.
It has a handful of superhuman abilities that make it quite unique. For example, it appears to have elasticated arms which it can extend and retract at will with no loss in strength and it also has several spikes atop its head. This, paired with its new reddish-purple colouration give it a devil-like appearance. On the flipside, it has far less resilience than it's
T-103 cousins as it can be defeated with small arms fire.
A Super Tyrant form of Tyrant C is never seen as the only one encountered was never able to mutate. Despite this, it is thought to resemble the
T-103 Super Tyrant form due to the similar genetics.
Interestingly, the Tyrant C is never 'officially' encountered in any of the games. It does feature in a minigame section in
Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 though.
