Giga Bite was the rather affectionate name given to a uniquely large mutant flea. It can be surmised that it was first a regular flea which received a t-Virus infection from feeding on the infected blood of another t-Virus infected creature such as a Zombie Dog or a Zombie Hyena. Then, it transformed into a larger creature known as a Mega Bite.

Then, somehow it grew to a colossal size, possibly after feeding on lots of infected blood which boosted the power of the infection.

It was encountered as the main protector of a Mega Bite nest in the Raccoon City subway system. It isn't known whether it acted as a 'queen', or if it was considered to be just another part of the swarm by the others and was simply occupying its space in the nest. It's worth mentioning that Giga Bite was so large that its mobility was hampered; this disadvantage made it incredibly susceptible to attack from the rear as it was not able to spin around.

It was eventually killed with a large amount of insecticide and fire. This had a domino effect where it also destroyed the nest as well as any other Mega Bite fleas in the area.
