The Veronica Plant (not related to the actual plant variety named Veronica (also referred to as Speedwell or Gypsyweed) was originally a normal tropical plant situated in a greenhouse which was infected with the t-Veronica virus by Javier Hidalgo who was merely curious as to what effect the virus would have on the organism.

As the t-Veronica virus prefers warmer conditions, the greenhouse seemed to be the perfect habitat for optimal growth. As such, the plant grew throughout the entire greenhouse as it mutated. It soon evolved to a point where it could produce spores which contained the t-Veronica virus and, in turn, could infect other plants which could then mutate in a similar way. However, as the Veronica Plant was the largest, it had the ability to inhibit the growth of other plants due to its dominance.

The plant was essentially 'owned' by Javier which he kept under lock and key, only intending to use it as a weapon in a last resort. A file found stated that the plant had the capability of transforming around 60% of the entire Amazon Rainforest into Veronica Plants within 48 hours. As such, it was considered to be one of the most devastating B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapons) ever created, far outperforming the Tyrant series.

It also had a central flower which was large enough to consume a fully grown human. Eventually, the Veronica Plant grew in an out-of-control manner, consuming everything in its wake. After it had consumed Javier, the two fused together to create a creature known as the V-Complex. This gestalt entity was now mobile and could produce small, flying creatures which acted as a defence mechanism.

After sustaining enough damage, the Veronica Plant portion of the creature gradually began to consume more and more of Javier to sustain itself until he was completely absorbed. As he was being consumed, his humanity became more and more faint until he was no more.

The plant was soon destroyed when its core essence was damaged.
