Uroboros Mkono was a unique manifestation of an
Uroboros virus rejection. The original host body was of a white male (bald, with a tattoo on his head; possibly one of many test subjects). Interestingly, when he was first infected, it appeared as if
Uroboros was accepting the host - at first, tentacles sprouted from the body, began to wrap around the limbs and then receded, turning the eyes cat-like.
As the host began to approach B.S.A.A. agents
Chris Redfield and
Sheva Alomar, he suddenly stopped in his tracks and rejection began to occur. First, small pieces of writhing tissue began to fall from his body and then tentacles began to sprout from his body again. Next, his body was twisted and stretched rapidly out of proportion and his body exploded with an overwhelming amount of tentacles. Finally, a handful of large pustule-like organs grew on his body - the rejection was now complete and he had been reduced to a shambling yet powerful
Uroboros Mkono.
The word Mkono translates as "Arm" - this is rather fitting as the monster appeared to have an uncanny ability to 'stretch' out their arms to attack from a greater distance; this is most likely possible as bones and muscle are not truly connected in
Uroboros rejections - it is the tentacles that are the real connective tissue.
Unfortunately for the monster, the area it was experimented in was littered with canisters filled with some kind of combustible gas. Chris and Sheva used these to their advantage, knocked them to one side and fired at them from a distance, causing a firey explosion and revealing the main weakness of the
Uroboros - fire. Whenever the creature was weakened, it would fall onto the ground and then various tentacles would rise into the air and open like a flower, revealing even more pustules. In this state it is unable to move or attack, but very quickly recovers.
Interestingly, it also had the ability to completely dismantle its own body and slip through small spaces, such as metal grating. It used this to great effect to 'teleport' from one side of the room to another, which would disorientate Chris and Sheva and leave them open to an attack from behind.
The creature would meet its end after Chris managed to find a flamethrower connected to a purpose-built refuelling station - meaning that conveniently there was a fire weapon with an unlimited resource of ammo. After taking lots of damage which would completely destroy one of its arms, it would then resort to lifting its entire body into the air and then smashing down onto the ground like a hammer, hoping to crush its victim.
However, it would be defeated using a combination of standard weapons fire, the flamethrower and the gas containers. In death, it would pulsate rapidly, fall to the ground and then break down into nothingness.
Interestingly, it can be defeated in a single shot with the Rocket Launcher (possibly a reference to what happens to
Albert Wesker later in the game).
