The Oviraptor (meaning 'egg robber' in Ancient Greek) was a bird-like dinosaur which preferred to live in the deep forest, but some also found their way into Hyperspace.
While their names may cause one to assume that they were related to the
Velociraptor, but they were actually very distinct and evolutionarily more bird-like: mainly, they had a fully formed beak and a crest on the top of their heads. They used their beak to break the shells of their unborn prey in order to eat, although they could also use their powerful, sharp talons to attack much larger prey.
Interestingly, some have also been observed hiding under loose sand in order to ambush their prey. In those instances, they have jumped out of the ground and pursued their targets in groups.
