The
Plaga Mandíbula is one of the permutations which can exist when a
Plaga-infected
Ganado or Soldier can take once their body takes enough damage. As their body starts to fail, the
Plaga will take over the body rapidly and a large, parasitic mass will explode out from the neck which grows to resemble a large mouth surrounded by teeth, with sharp mandibles additionally surrounding it. From here, the human brain is destroyed and now the parasite gains full control - it is quickly able to control the rest of the body which allows it to continue to pursue an attacker despite the recent shock.
This form of
Plaga tends to appear in hosts which have had the infection for a much longer period of time. Essentially, the creature is larger and tougher than less mature versions of the
Plaga; it can also defend itself more veraciously, using a biting attack rather than swinging wildly.
If the creature gets close enough to
Leon S. Kennedy, it can easily envelop his head where it can expel a corrosive acid (most likely to aid in swallowing large amounts of flesh and bone) so the best course of action when engaging with one is to shoot it from a distance.
