Iluzija

The Iluzija (which means "Illusion" or "Phantom" in Serbian) is a B.O.W. (Bio-Organic Weapon) that was released into the city of Lanshiang, China by Neo Umbrella with the aim of eliminating the B.S.A.A. forces that meant to harm their C-Virus mission. It was largely successful in it's aim to scatter the squad in which it ended up killing and devouring the majority of them.

Although one would assume this creature was developed from Snake DNA, it was in fact based on a human host which was introduced to the C-Virus under lab conditions. Throughout the development it impressed Neo Umbrella with its resemblance to a simple large serpent but also with its camouflage abilities where it had the ability to render itself virtually invisible to the untrained eye. It does this by secreting a substance that can bend light across its surface, thus showing what is behind it on its body. However, as soon as it spots prey it will began to behave aggressively as is the case with most C-Virus creatures, attacking and killing them at the earliest opportunity.

When it is sufficiently damaged, it will be unable to camouflage but it can adapt its skin in another way by making it incredibly tough, meaning it can prevent being damaged by conventional firearms for instance.

It's mouth is very large, so large in fact that the eyes have been displaced and the creature has been rendered blind so relies on its other senses in order to find prey. It's teeth are also comparatively huge with tis two fangs in particular being enormous. Alongside the fangs are rows of extra sharp teeth positioned haphazardly in its mouth.

There was only one known instance of the Iluzija and was eventually killed by Chris Redfield who had managed to figure out a way to lure it into an area of water with some exposed electrical wiring conveniently placed near it. As he knew he could not damage it with his weapons, he ended up electrocuting it to death in the water.

This creature bears some similarity to Yawn from the first Resident Evil game, which was another B.O.W. that was created under lab conditions, only using the t-Virus. However that creature was based on Snake DNA.
