Angie (presumably short for Angela) is the name of a doll which was built by
Donna Beneviento's father, who constructed the doll as one of many designs which he had built over the years, owing to him being a professional doll maker. Angie's appearance was that of a slender, almost skeletal girl wearing a wedding dress.
He made her the doll as she experienced many hardships including mental problems. She was able to use Angie to communicate and express herself. Over time, Donna learned to become a dollmaker herself and continued the family profession long after her parents both committed suicide.
Originally Angie was simply a normal children's doll, but after Donna's mutation through the
Cadou, she later had a portion of the parasite surgically transplanted into the doll. This allowed her to control the doll like a puppet, but with her mind. In practice, Donna appeared to be an inactive observer but in truth, Angie was the vessel for her personality.
When
Ethan Winters finally encountered Angie, he stabbed her in the face with scissors multiple times which caused the
Cadou inside to be exposed. While in the house, Ethan was pelted with hallucinogenic Mold spores which impaired his judgement and he began to see many strange things. This ended up in him stabbing Angie one final time in the face, which was in fact soon revealed to be Donna herself once the hallucinations subsided.
This caused Donna to die and calcify, along with the
Cadou within Angie. With no controller, Angie had returned to becoming a lifeless doll once more. Ethan then proceeded to take her with him, intending to sell her to
The Duke for some Lei.
Interestingly, where Angie appeared to be flying through the air, it was in fact Donna lifting her through the air - but Ethan was just unable to see her due to his mind being affected by Mold.
