Lisa Trevor had an unfortunate life; she was the daughter of famed architect George Trevor and his wife Jessica Trevor. Her fathers company was contracted to plan and build the
Spencer Mansion; little did they know that the individual that that ordered the construction, Dr
Oswell E. Spencer, would never let them leave after it had been finished. After completion they were given an offer to remain on site in one of the mansions many rooms.
George accepted the offer but did not arrive right away as he had other business to deal with; however his wife and daughter made a separate trip down to see what had been designed and to serve as a holiday of sorts away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. However they were met with hostility right away; the two were abducted by Umbrella Security staff and taken to research rooms where the company were testing the Progenitor Virus. The company had developed two strains, Type A and B and the mother and daughter were each injected with them. They had both been made test subjects of a virus which was not understood; it had the potential to give superhuman abilities to a very small percentage of people, but in most it destroyed brain cells, skin cells and eventually killed the host.
They both underwent invasive experimentation as days went on, in both their mental states deteriorated and they both suffered irreversible brain damage. Jessica was executed as it appeared her body was not adapting well to the virus plus she attempted to escape on various occasions. Lisa however began to show interesting promise in her reaction to Progenitor; although she had the negative signs of brain damage her body began to change - she gained superhuman strength and her appearance altered gradually.
Her musculature changed so that her arms became elongated like a monkey, her body was covered in tumours; in particular a large one on her back with an eye-like organ (similar to G-Virus infected humans) and she had overall a mottled appearance. She began to wear homemade masks to cover her now grotesque face, but unsurprisingly this did not do much to improve her unfortunate appearance.
Experiments continued as the days progressed; for a while Lisa was unaware that her mother was gone and eventually realised that a staff member was assuming her identity and began an uproar; Lisa thought in her mind that the staff member had taken her mother's face and wore it as a mask in order to confuse her and so attacked the staff member in order to try and get it back.
Lisa was restrained and tranquillised; then she was brought back to a secure holding cell where her condition began to deteriorate rapidly. She was kept in restraints while the Progenitor virus ravaged her system. She was allowed to keep a diary but eventually she lost the ability to write legibly and over the next few decades she was a closely guarded secret which only a select few knew about. She was moved to the Arklay Laboratory underneath the
Spencer Mansion where Dr
William Birkin resumed experimentation on her by infecting her with the NE-a Type Parasite which was an early foray into using an engineered parasite to take over the brain function of a subject with insufficient brain capacity to take instructions. She had also been experimented with the
t-Virus at several points but this had no apparent effect on her.
By this point she had all but lost her ability to communicate with speech; she did manage to utter one word "mother" which she repeated. This is similar to how B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapons) such as the
Nemesis T-Type handle speech - with their issued command. It's most likely her driving force was getting revenge on her mother's death. Unfortunately for Lisa, she would never have a reprieve.
However, due to her unique physiology and the many years of Progenitor infection her immune system eliminated the parasite and absorbed many of its beneficial characteristics into her body with the added effect that many small tentacles began to appear across her back, possibly as a side effect of having the parasite. Her intelligence also began to increase.
This adoption of the parasite was unexpected and Dr Birkin immediately ordered for a blood sample which he found an altered Progenitor strain which was distinct. However with her restored intelligence she now began to have agendas and became uncooperative; plus her old fascination with faces returned. She began to target female employees and hacked at their faces in order to cut them off. After several unprovoked attacks, enough was enough. Umbrella requested her immediate disposal and the UBCS were sent to her location in order to eliminate her.
As she was known for her superhuman abilities including rapid regeneration, the team remained at her side for at least three days to confirm her death. Her body was then taken off-site for disposal.
Unfortunately for the UBCS, Lisa returned to life and was essentially a free woman. She began to live off the land in the nearby Arklay Mountains but she also used familiar caves and sheds around the
Spencer Mansion estate in order to grow fruit, vegetables and obtain supplies. After the
t-Virus outbreak occurred in the
Spencer Mansion, Lisa returned to the mansion in order to see what was going on. She encountered the surviving members of S.T.A.R.S. on various occasions and warned them to stay away. She also encountered
Albert Wesker who she recognised as one of the Umbrella employees which experimented on her in the past.
Enraged, she began to pursue Wesker. He himself was infected with a
t-Virus and Progenitor cocktail prototype virus which gave him superhuman abilities along with none of the nasty side-effects which affected Lisa. It's obvious that her loss was his gain - due to his superior abilities he managed to evade her until they both eventually met in the main hall of the
Spencer Mansion.
Because there was a self-destruct about to fire on the underground Arklay Laboratory, the entire mansion began to shake which caused the large chandelier to fall from its mounting which impaled Lisa. This alone would not have been enough to kill her, but as the mansion soon exploded - her body was completely destroyed. Wesker managed to escape just in time.
