Similar to the Fumer this hulking creature could not be harmed with regular fire and their only vulnerability were the RAMRODs.
It was found in the salt mines in an area full of Mold and biomass. Initially the area spawned many types of Molded en masse but as Chris Redfield explored the area and defeated them all, Mama Mold was then produced.
Initially he could not harm the beast as it's regenerative properties were so powerful that even a hand grenade would only stun it for a few seconds. He had no choice but to fall back and allow it to prowl around it's habitat. Fortunately, the area was mostly sealed off and could only be accessed via a small service elevator and the creature was not intelligent enough to follow and too large to enter the elevator either way.
Chris later returned with the right kind of ammunition - which was extremely sparse and the creature needed to be hit many times with it. A regular Molded or a Fumer only required one, maybe two shots to be destroyed.
The creature was very tall but was ultimately defeated and no other variants were ever seen.
