One of the first objects Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield stumble upon in the Spencer Mansion, it's mounted in a recess above the fireplace in the Dining Room. It appears to be carved from wood, It also has signs that it's handled quite frequently; with scratches and other damage to the edges. In the Resident Evil Remake, it has Greek lettering around its border - while it's not clear what it says, it's likely something basic translated by the developer.
It can be removed from it's housing, and is designed to be replaced with a Gold Emblem.
One of the earliest puzzles in the game and is potentially the first item picked up. This Emblem can be taken and swapped with the Gold Emblem from the secret room behind the Bar. Obtaining the Gold Emblem requires playing Moonlight Sonata on the piano. Jill can play the tune on the piano straight away, but Chris requires the aid of Rebecca Chambers to learn the song and play it for him. The secret room closes automatically and traps the player when the Gold Emblem is taken, so the regular Emblem must be placed here to re-open it.
