Sliding Worm

The Sliding Worm was a parasite which was produced by the Grave Digger. The Grave Digger was a t-Virus infected worm that was created by accident in the waste disposal area of NEST. Initially the area was designed to destroy and break down all biomass but because of the extensive experimentation happening at the facility the disposal area became overloaded which then led to flora and fauna surviving there becoming infected.

The parasite began its life cycle as an egg which hatched very soon after being laid, often within a few hours. Then, they continually began to shed and grow immensely until they became an adult Grave Digger. Then the cycle would repeat - it's just fortunate that the t-Virus outbreak was handled fairly quickly as their reproductive capability was incredibly robust.

As the Sliding Worm, their combat capability still makes them a rather dangerous enemy. They act as jumping leeches, being able to drain a large amount of blood from a victim which has the potential to cause shock and also transmit the t-Virus.​
