Hey everyone,

I'd been umming and ah-ing about it for ages but I finally went and picked up a PC upgrade. I was undecided for ages whether to stick with Intel or move to Ryzen.... and then.. which one? And which kind of motherboard chipset etc? Should I go budget or just throw it all in one basket?


Well... I went almost all the way in one basket! The only thing I ended up retaining from my old PC was the graphics card and I've also taken the storage, but only as extra storage. I bought a brand new boot drive.

It's not like I really needed it.. My old PC could play virtually anything I threw at it.. but I just wanted... more...

.. all in all, I spent just under £2000. And if you consider that this doesn't include a graphics card.... yowzers.

I've gone so far as booting it up and having a quick run around the first area. It looks great!

I'm gonna do a proper deep dive tomorrow.

Well, so far I'm impressed! I'm not far at all, just got into the apartments. I'll come back to it some more later.

My backlog is far too big to even consider buying a game this early in its release.

I'll wait for the price to come down.

Defo enjoying it, about as much as the RE4 remake! It's such a relief that the game is good.. I was worried for a moment there!

Is anyone else being suuper conservative with ammo? I've probably fired like 5 bullets in total thus far. I find the plank to be so effective!

I've made it through the apartments and through the motel area. I experienced my first bug though.. An enemy and Maria were both just locked in place, not interactable. Thankfully I just plodded on.

I've been capturing screenshots as I've been playing.. It looks so good. Unfortunately the screenshots don't do it justice.. I think it's cos I'm using HDR.
