Red Herb

The Red Herb is a medicinal, leafy plant which is generally grown indoors, in pots. Initially it was found in the Arklay region in the United States, but it can now be found in various places across the globe. They are relatively uncommon and can be kept in storage for long periods of time.

By itself, the Red Herb appears to have no effect - but if taken as a compound with the Green Herb, it amplifies the healing effect as if 3 Green Herbs have been mixed together.

Occasionally the Red Herb has been observed having different effects, but this is quite rare.

The Red Herb appears in all the main Resident Evil titles apart from Resident Evil 7, and a number of other games. Once mixed with a Green Herb, it will heal 100% of health, although there are some unique implementations:

• In Resident Evil Outbreak it will also slow down the build up of the Infection Meter for a while.
• In Resident Evil Gaiden, the Red Herb acts as if it's already been mixed with a Green Herb.
• In Resident Evil Revelations 2, instead of being a single item once mixed with a Green Herb, it converts into 3 single Green Herbs.
