What game do you think earns the title of Game of the Year 2020 in your eyes?

For me.. I think it has to be Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The game came out at just the right time, when the first UK lockdown occurred and was basically my life for a couple of months and I got a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of it. I stuck with it daily without fail until I'd burned myself out playing it. So I definitely got my money's worth out of it.

I don't play it these days as I've got everything I wanted from it, but it's definitely a game that impacted me the most.

Runners Up: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Yakuza: Like A Dragon

I think if FF7 remake just had the same polish throughout it may have taken the top spot but there we are!

I don't feel like I play enough modern games to really have much of an opinion these days..

However, I'll vote for F1 2020 because it was a huge step up from previous iterations with the introduction of MyTeam breathing some new life into the franchise..

Luigi's Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch. I'd waited for this game for a while and I played the crap out of it this year.

Sorry....I'm kind of a Nintendo fan.

I really liked Call of Duty and Gears 5 but I will say that modern warfare isn't as fun as black ops cold war. So they took a step back that year. But it's still a good game. I would still probably say it's one of the best games that came out next to Gears 5.

Not really played too many games that were released in 2020, the one I played and enjoyed most would probably be Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a lot of fun but I wouldn't consider it GotY material and both Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla have been disappointing and I haven't put enough hours into them - I say every year I'm not buying another Assassin's Creed game but I always do when the inevitable Ubisoft price drop occurs.

I love Gears 5 but it came out in 2019 although the Hivebusters DLC was released in 2020 and injected new life into the game and was a lot of fun.
