🗣️ Community We're back (again)!

It's been a hot minute but we are indeed back. I hope everyone is doing well.

I'll be the first to admit that I was starting to wonder whether or not this moment would come. The decision to re-open was only taken just a few weeks ago.. but since then we've been hard at work getting things ready. There's still much to do, but they're primarily bits that were still on the to-do list two years ago. The plan is still very much for these things to happen but they'll come online as time permits.

In the meantime, there's been a new Resident Evil game released (Requiem), another one announced (Veronica), and another movie reboot in the works... not to mention several other horror games, films, tv shows and books. Excuse the dust, and let the discussions (re-)commence!

I think the thing with forums now is that we as owners need to manage our expectations.

A healthy community now looks like 10/15 regular members IMO - gone are the glory days of past (obviously).

In some ways, a lot. In others, not as much as I'd have liked... You know how it is!

Oh yeah, I've actually moved away from what most forum admins would consider the "proper" way of doing things - not that I really did things the proper way to start with

I've got a terrible habit of buying games but never playing them. I buy the latest games, then find myself playing something like Splinter Cell: Blacklist or Max Payne 3.

I've bought games that would fit in here, like the Resident Evil remakes, RE: Requiem, Cronos: The New Dawn, Hell Is Us, and Alan Wake 2, but haven't played a single minute of any of them

Great to see Umbrella Online back up and running. The rebuild looks solid, and it's genuinely nice to see familiar faces returning.

I agree with the point about expectations; forums today thrive on tight‑knit groups rather than the huge traffic we all remember from years ago. A steady core of engaged members can still make a community feel alive, and it's clear there's plenty of passion here to build on.

Looking forward to seeing how things grow from here, and hopefully diving into some of those RE titles myself. It's good to have this place open again.
