Penumbra: Overture

This game is a little older, but its one of the early games from the Frictional Games people (of Amnesia fame).

In my mind its one of the scariest games out there. I think the graphical style also lends itself to the horror atmosphere really well.

I recommend you give it a try especially if youre a fan of the Amnesia games. Its sorta a mix of Amnesia: The Bunker and something like Eternal Darkness. If youve played both these games you'd know what I mean.

I've never heard of it! From a brief look it seems like a PC only game, which probably explains why..

Kinda surprised it's never had a console port though given how popular the Amnesia games are.

Been a long time since I last played these, it would have been just after Amnesia blew up the internet in 2010-ish.

True, I'm pretty certain theyre in the same engine so the devs probably have a lot of the tools needed to port them over already made. A shame they just kind of got forgotten about because they were definitely enjoyable.
