RIP Meat Loaf, who sadly passed away last night at the age of 74..

According to Wikipedia, Bat Out of Hell remains to be one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling over 43 million copies worldwide. The song itself was released in the UK in 1979, and re-released in 1993. Meat Loaf's other most popular song "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" was the best-selling song of 1993 and earned him a Grammy Award.

On screen, he played Eddie in 1975 musical film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, was bouncer Tiny in 1992's Wayne's World, and appeared opposite Brad Pitt as bodybuilder Robert Paulsen in 1999's Fight Club.

There have been a number of concerns about the star's health over the last decade, after fainting on stage in Pittsburgh in 2011, and collapsing on stage during a concert in Canada in 2016. An interview shortly after on ITV's "This Morning" showed him slurring his words.

A longtime fan of the Rocky Horror so pretty sad to hear about this, though I'm not sure I've ever actually checked out his discography before
Wasn't aware his health was in decline for so long like that, must have been awful for him.

RIP Meat Loaf. I didn't really know of him much but I did know some of his songs. I'd do anything for love and Bat out of Hell being the two main ones.

It is now being reported by TMZ that Meat Loaf fell seriously ill after contracting COVID just a week ago, and is likely to have died as a result.

I loved his role in the Pick of Destiny. He played a character that was the polar opposite to Meat Loaf. A straight-edge religious American who sees rock and metal music as the work of satan.

Just a great piece of casting and probably the only part of that movie I remember!

Used to adore that film and totally forgot he was playing the dad at the beginning! Pretty hilarious choice alright.
