Vampire Survivors is a top-down, 2D roguelite with a really simple gameplay loop. Avoid getting killed by waves and waves of enemies while your character automatically attacks. You earn experience by collecting gems from your fallen enemies and you use those to earn and upgrade your abilities. Those abilities can then be upgraded and evolved etc. There's no win state in the game, things just keep building until the game becomes unbeatable.

It's origins come from an Android game called Magic Survival. The idea of that game was basically copied by a guy wanting to make a PC game in his spare time and it subsequently blew up. After further development and eventually a game engine re-write (was in JavaScript first and later ported to Unity), Vampire Survivors became what it is today.

Vampire Survivors has a distinct light-hearted style, great sound and music. Magic Survival is kinda the opposite. Just goes to show.. presentation is important.
