🗣️ Community [UPDATE] Light Style returns!

[UPDATE]
The automatic Day/Night theme switching has been re-introduced for Members. If you wish to deactivate this, you can do so via your Account preferences.

---

Umbrella Online's "v2 Light" style has been deactivated for the best part of a year due to requiring a number of updates and a good bit of TLC. Circumstances have repeatedly delayed this..

Following the most recent Maintenance period, I'm happy to report that those updates have finally happened and the style is now available once again for selection! However, I have decided not to re-introduce the automatic Day/Night theme switching at this time.

A quick summary from the most recent Maintenance includes;
  • Transition to PHP8.1
  • XenForo and various add-ons updated to their most recent versions
  • Dark and Light styles updated to their most recent versions - Light style re-introduced
  • Games, Cinema, and Television sliders added
  • Verified member status added
  • ...and other various fixes, and minor tweaks!
There remains to be a couple of known bugs with both styles, and I'll be looking to fix these as soon as I can.

Thank you again for your patience over the past 18 months, the project lives on and we're looking to see that it not just survives, but thrives in the coming months/years!

I remember doing something similar for a Flash website years ago (I'm revealing my age here). Based on the current time of day it would switch from a daytime theme to a nighttime theme. And because it was Flash it wasn't just a CSS swap, I had to load a completely different set of animations. I do not look back on that fondly.

I'd like Yama to update Biohaze, to include a white stylesheet like yours. The default one is way too dark, so if I go outside when it's sunny, the brightness affects my screen.

I'm not trying to defend @Oblivion Knight or anything, but I'm an owner of many websites. It costs a lot of money to design sites like this. I purchased a custom design for 4 digits. $X,XXX

Either that, or it takes a lot of time coding it. Sometimes, the owner edits one part of the site to fit the website. For example, that footer down there? Easy to do if the main coder just puts a blank slate there with code where you can edit on your own later.

Also, a lot of people like dark themes, that's why they usually launch dark themes as default. So, just ask Yama to release a light skin. It's cheap, just go find a skin shop, pay $20, $50 a pop. I'll do it after this post.
